i'm confused by your method of listing.

you seem to have started counting down, then counted up, then forgot you got to 3 and so added a fourth which you've also labelled 3.

am i missing something?

the redevelopment of the dale end area has been delayed for a few years (the reeelopment was the reson the academy moved) so the old academy is to be opened again but not as the acadey group

well the academy is now at the old dome so i'm guessing it's gonna stay there now.

can't really see the old place being anything other then a rocker kind of place. too dark and dingy for anything else.

yeah the academy is remaining on the old dome site and the 'old academy' venue is dale is is going to be reopened as the hummingbird which is wat it was known as back in the 80s and early 90s

It will probably remain an alternative venue - great venue in terms of the layout and decent (not brilliant) acoustics for an open plan venue with the balcony.

A fave brum sight/attraction of mine is the sympony hall - imo our countries greatest live venue - the ceiling and walls move to reflect sound better depending on the temperature of the room, style of music etc so the acoustics and sound is always amazing in there. There is also no bad seat - up high, down low, sides or right at the bac you get a great view

The view of St Andrews from The Bull Ring.....stands proudly atop a hill

Town Hall

Five Ways and Broad Street

There are many more ......the Middleways and Queensways, Rotunda, the BT Tower, The Council House and Victoria Square, Hall Of Memory, Odeon New Street was a good call, St Pauls Square, Colmore Row, the Birmingham Post and Mail building with the electronic clock (is it still there ??)

The old Bogarts and the old ABC cinema on New Street (saw 'The Godfather' there in 1973....queued for hours)

Used to go up to Clent Hills in the summer......on a totally clear day you could see the whole city..................top of Barr Beacon as well .....at night of course but let's not go there......actually I've heard you can't drive up there anymore (hee ! hee !)

I've only been to England once but it was sadly in the summer when no games were on but I vividily remember Stans and the staff were amazing. Let me wander around the stadium by myself. So all I really remember of Brum is Stans and what appeared to be a Middle Eastern nation-it was crazy trying to drive through all of the people walking around. Idk what part of brum that was-can anyone help identify it for me?

I remember the red FujifIlm neon sign but it wasn't on the Rotunda as I recall, it was across a building over the old Bull Ring and outdoor markets as you drove round to New Street station. The Rotunda did have a Coca -Cola sign up for a while.

The long tunnels going out of New Steet Station both west and eastwards

The line toward the Airport, Coventry and London Euston has a slight uphill gradient as you leave ....and of course within minutes you see St Andrews clearly on the right hand side

The Cadbury's Plant at Bournville.............No pubs in Bournville from the old Quaker days .....now that's criminal

The old Birmingham Bus Station Street .....Remember how the air was choking as you walked through it with all the diesel fumes as a lot of the buses would leave their engines on :banghead:
